II had come to our attention that there has been a glitch in the mailing of this months Voice, it was a spreadsheet error which can happen and I’m very confident in the team dealing with this.
Our policy is to hold minimal data on you, our members; it is limited to name, address, email (etc) and age for junior handlers, for the purpose of the leagues.
All information is held securely in compliance with GDPR and is processed in line with the legitimate interests of the club. We limit who has access to data to specific roles on the committee.
Due to the human error in generating this month’s mailing list, it has come to light that a commissioned cull of expired data did not occur. We normally retain data for 12 months, thereafter it is deleted.
We have taken advice from the ICO regarding this matter and have deleted expired data immediately.
On behalf of the Committee I can only sincerely apologise for this issue. We are reviewing our processes and improving them. It will not happen again.
